About
Iana Heel, born Imane Benhebba, is a designer whose rich cultural heritage and diverse experiences shape her unique vision. Raised in the south of France by Algerian parents from Oran, a former French and Spanish colony, Imane has always been surrounded by a blend of cultures. Her family's trading business, established by her father and grandfather, Adda Benhebba, laid the foundation for her entrepreneurial spirit.
Artistic and Professional Journey
Imane studied Art and Communication at Nice University, quickly making her mark with her first art exhibition, "Copurchic," in Monaco with H.R.H. Princess Caroline of Monaco, followed by "Art is a Game" for Robert Redford in 2010. She developed innovative marketing concepts, such as the HELLI CHALLENGE tour, promoting helicopter tours with Heli-Air Monaco, and later managed marketing for Franck Muller.
In 2015, Imane created her own company, IANA HEEL, in Monaco. Initially focusing on high heel shoes, she faced societal challenges that often required her to hide her true identity due to discrimination rooted in colonial history. After marrying an engineer and living around the globe, they settled in London, where Imane explored interior design and real estate while raising their autistic daughter. This personal experience deepened her understanding of acceptance and inclusion, further influencing her work.
Vision and Mission
Iana Heel's fashion philosophy is deeply personal and inclusive, aiming to break down barriers and promote acceptance. Inspired by her life experiences, she strives to create a world where everyone is embraced, regardless of differences. The butterfly, symbolizing hope and transformation, reflects her commitment to these values.
Current Collection
Her latest collection, "Deliverance of Identity," was the subject of the prelude fashion show. This collection is a testament to her heritage, inspired by Algerian traditional wedding dresses. It includes elegant evening dresses. Her work combines artistry and extravagance, offering a therapeutic escape into a world of fantasy and fairy tales.
